Nolan zorn

Nolan Zorn is a dedicated law enforcement professional with a strong background in high-risk, tactical environments currently serving on a local SWAT Team and a multi-agency Fugitive Taskforce. He has over a decade of law enforcement experience, including specialized training in conducting SWAT operations, fugitive apprehension missions, gang enforcement, and counter-terrorism. Nolan has advanced certifications in areas including Tactical Armored Vehicle Operations, Tactical Rappel Master, FEMA Tactical Medicine Instructor, and Direct Action Resource Center’s Law Enforcement Counter Terrorism Courses which allow him to share valuable skills in life-saving techniques under challenging conditions.

Nolan’s field experience includes supporting missions involving high-risk operations like building searches, traffic stops, and open air fugitive takedowns. He is committed to helping others develop the skills needed for safety and effectiveness in critical situations, drawing on his hands-on experience to provide practical, real-world instruction. Nolan approaches his teaching with a focus on collaboration and learning, aiming to support participants in building confidence for tactical challenges.

Kassi spinnie

Kassi is a focused and innovative health professional of 9 years. She started her health career as a registered nurse in 2016, working in bariatrics and pediatrics. In December 2020, Kassi graduated with an MSN degree and is currently working as an orthopedic nurse practitioner. Equipping the community with important life-saving skills is Kassi’s primary objective. As an outdoor enthusiast, Kassi has noticed the need for these important skills when emergency services are not immediately available.

Kassi brings a variety of medical and outdoor experiences to The Crux Initiative. Courses such as CPR, Stop the Bleed, and Wilderness First Aid are her specialty. Kassi’s work in orthopedic medicine and acute hospital care have prepared her to make these courses available. Access to education is extremely important, especially in the wilderness. Kassi aims to provide education in a manner that is specific to the needs of the students, and building scenarios that prepare them for the environments they encounter most.
